About

Objective

    • To have theoretical and practical knowledge at an expert level in the field of classroom teaching, to develop and deepen this knowledge,
    • To be aware of the interaction between the disciplines that make up the field of classroom teaching,
    • To use the theoretical and practical knowledge at an expert level acquired in the field of classroom teaching, to develop and deepen this knowledge,
    • To functionally integrate the knowledge in the field based on an interdisciplinary approach and create new knowledge,
    • To bring solution suggestions to problems requiring expertise in classroom teaching by using scientific research methods and processes,
    • To solve problems related to the field of classroom teaching according to problem solving stages,
    • To develop new strategies and produce solutions by taking responsibility in unexpected situations encountered in the practices in the field,
    • To actively take part in individual and team works and fulfill their responsibilities, to produce solutions to the problems encountered and to be a leader,
    • To evaluate the knowledge related to the field with a critical eye with metacognitive awareness and to direct learning,
    • To continue their studies in the field within the framework of lifelong learning,
    • To systematically convey the developments in the field of classroom teaching and their own studies to groups in and outside the field in written, oral and visual form,
    • To know at least one foreign language in the European language To establish verbal and written communication by using the portfolio at the B2 General level,
    • To share the studies related to the field verbally and in writing at the national level,
    • To use the computer software and information and communication technologies required by the field at an advanced level,
    • To interpret the strategy, policy and implementation plans on issues related to the field of classroom teaching, and to evaluate the results within the framework of quality processes,
    • To use the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of classroom teaching within an interdisciplinary framework,
    • To evaluate current developments in line with national values ​​and country realities,
    • To develop strategy, policy and implementation plans on issues related to the field and to evaluate the obtained results within the framework of quality processes,
    • To ensure that academic staff and students produce quality and original publications nationally and internationally.

Mission

To raise students who are committed to the basic principles of the teaching profession, human rights, national and universal values, who can be role models for society, who have 21st century skills and sufficient skills in the field of classroom education, who can use educational technologies effectively, who have the ability to solve educational problems according to the needs of the age and the expectations of society, who care about democracy and ethics, and who are open to continuous development.

Vision

To be a department that makes significant contributions to the classroom education that our country needs with the qualified teachers it trains, fulfills its responsibilities regarding the teaching profession, closely follows and successfully implements developments in the field as a department of classroom education, guides the future, and is a department that is preferred primarily at national and international levels by using its human resources effectively.

Graduation Requirements

A student who is about to graduate must first successfully complete all of his/her courses and take at least 157 credits and 240 ECTS courses.

Employment Opportunities

They have the opportunity to work in many areas such as public and private primary schools. Graduates can find career opportunities in various areas such as public institutions and private schools. They can work as classroom teachers. They can also continue their education with master's and doctorate degrees and have an academic career.
